Inveterate travelers have a new destination to target since Machu Picchu was voted one of the 7 Wonders of World last year. Previously on the radar of adventure travelers and those with an interest in places of rich cultural history, Peru has gone mainstream and it's about time.
One trip will never do justice to this magnificent land and those who have the good fortune to spend a week or two inevitably leave with the promise of return on their lips. Any trip includes the majestic ruins of Machu Picchu where the experience is so much more than the ubiquitous photographs of green mountains and vast terraces can capture.
Walking the paths through the "Lost City" is a privilege and an unfathomable luxury when you consider that in most other countries, this historical monument would be cordoned off and only available for viewing from behind carefully guarded ropes. Llamas roam the lower grassy areas, lounging in the warm sun while guides at chosen vantage points explain the construction of the Incan walls, made from tons of stone transported from miles below to build this fortress that was never discovered by Spanish conquerors.

Where to visit in Bolivia When in Sucre cheesy as the 'dino mobile' looks a trip to the dinosaur footprints will exceed your expectations. The cost of a visit is cheap and the prints are extensive - it's just such a shame & quite unbelievable that such a treasure is still part of a working quarry. The prints scale a sheer rock face which shakes with dynamite explosions from the base even as you watch - let's hope that UNESCO win their battle and these footprints are preserved for future generations. Do not miss the world wonder which is the salt flats of Uyuni. There are 2 choices of trip - either a 1 day trip out to the salt flats & back or a 3 day trip across the salt flats and on in to San Pedro De Atacama - Chile. If Chile is on your travel path then this is proably the best trip to take as you will see all the attractions of the salt flats along with the red & green lagoons & flamingos. The 1 day trip will however cover the salt flats element and from Uyuni you can get an overnight train down to the border with Argentina. These trains do not

No wonder people love to travel to Thailand these days. It's
hot. It's fun. And it's cheap. Everything here is cheap --
hotels, food, shopping -- you name it. A coconut costs 20 baht
(that's around 50 cents -US). A bowl of noodle costs from 30 to
70 baht (depending on how nice the restaurant is). Hotels in Thailand are cheap. They have hotels to suit any
budget you have. If you're a backpacker and want to stay in
Bangkok, Kaosan road is your ideal destination. It's dirt cheap.
If you have deeper pocket, you can stay in a small hotel for
$40. But if you have $100 or $200, go for a nicer hotel. It's
all worth it. You can be sure that the service is second to
none. When you leave Bangkok for the beach, you have the choice
of cheap bungalows or prettier resorts. You can book a room in
advance or you can just walk in. Feel free to a look around and
pick the resort you like once you get there. You'll have a great time in Thailand. Bangkok is the capital.
And you shouldn't miss it for the world. Dress politely and take
a taxi to the Grand Palace, Wat Pra Kaew ("Wat" means temple in
Thai) and

Russia and Turkey are part of Europe and Asia, by the way.
How to choose the right destination spot is the focus of this article.
Where To Begin
There are really so many options here that you must narrow it down quickly or get overwhelmed. Exclude those countries that are at war or have a high level of violence associated with them at the moment. Then, break down the possibilities according to what interests you most. Is it religion, cuisine, architecture, art, crafts, natural phenomenon, history, a particular event, or even a particular animal? Choose a category or come up with your own and then consider further breaking down the chosen category.
Building On An Idea
For instance, an interest in the religions found in Asia could center around Hinduism and a trip focused on
