I travel a lot for business, and perhaps you do too. It's so easy to gain weight when every meal must be eaten out, and close to impossible to lose weight. I've stopped trying to lose weight during travel, although sometimes if I'm lucky I'll lose a bit. Instead I concentrate on not gaining weight and here are the techniques I use that will hopefully be useful to you as well. It's very easy to be inactive while traveling. I try to do some exercise at least a couple of times during the week, hopefully more often. I make a point of immediately finding the exercise room when I check in. If I find it, I'm more likely to use it. I make a point of absolutely and positively using it at least once during a hotel stay. If I use it once, I usually end up using it 2 or more times. I also try to walk if the location is good for walking. Sometimes the only walking I'll do is occasionally up or down the stairs instead of using the elevator, and every little bit helps. I eat a lot, but try to moderate myself on the road.
